Belarusian biathletes Anton and Dinara Smolsky won the single mixed relay at the Cup of the Strongest Athletes in Raubichi.

6 Belarusian and 18 Russian duets took part in the single mix; each team included one guy and a girl. All biathletes ran two stages, carrying out two shooting ranges from a prone and standing position. In the first gear of the relay, Dinara Smolskaya took second place, Anton Smolsky held his position at the equator of the race, after the third stage Dinara led the group, in the final part of the distance Anton retained the lead and finished first.

Our tandem of Anna Sol and Ilya Avseenko also took to the podium. At eight stages, our biathletes used 13 additional rounds, but did without penalty loops. Avseenko left the last shooting fourth, caught up with his opponents on the final lap and eventually crossed the finish line second, snatching one tenth of a second from Evgeniy Sidorov, who was running in a duet with Victoria Slivko. Another 0.2 sec. Kirill Bazhin, paired with Kristina Reztsova, fell behind the podium.

At the moment, the Belarusian biathlon team has eight awards (3-3-2) from the Cup of the Strongest Athletes. The classic mixed relay is planned for February 22, and on February 23 the competition program in Raubichi will close with mass starts for women and men.
